    According to a new report by WalletHub, Washington ranks 18th among all the states and the District of Columbia when it comes to impacts of the federal government shutdown that started last month right before Christmas. The most affected was District of Columbia, while Minnesota was the least affected state. For the study, WalletHub examined each state’s share of federal jobs, federal contract dollars per capita, the share of families receiving food stamps and access to national parks.
