Good news for Spokane County jobs rate

The Spokesman-Review reports that Spokane County’s unemployment rate hit 4.4 percent in September, down from 4.8 in August. Doug Tweedy, Regional Labor Economist with the Employment Security Department (ESD) said the county is likely to create 5,000 jobs this year which would continue the trend of adding 3,000 to 5,000 jobs each year for the fourth year in a row.
