Agricultural programs in limbo without Farm Bill renewal

Northwest Public Broadcasting reports that Congress was unable to agree on a compromise to the federal Farm Bill before the Sept. 30 deadline, throwing many agricultural programs into uncertainty. Northwest farmers say they feel anxious about losing access to benefits such as foreign trade promotion, new farmer mentoring, research and subsidies in this period of limbo.
