Inslee hears fruit grower concerns on Trump’s aid

This week, Governor Jay Inslee visited the Yakima Valley to talk with fruit growers on what they thought about President Donald Trump’s plan to help the agricultural sector with retaliatory tariffs. The $12 billion strategy includes federal payments to growers and help with opening new markets. Washington ag stakeholders voiced concerns that they don’t want aid necessarily, but would rather have more trade options available.
