EU to add tariffs on U.S. imports

The European Commission has announced it would be placing 25 percent tariffs on several U.S. products this Friday in response to the Trump administration placing duties on European Union (EU) steel and aluminum earlier this month. Affected U.S. goods include agricultural products, steel and aluminum products and motor-bikes.

EU Trade Commissioner Cecilia Malmstrom said in a statement that “We do not want to be in this position,” however the action taken by the U.S. was “unilateral and unjustified.”
