Port of Longview experiences strong Q1

Even in the midst of the strained relationship between the U.S. and China, the Port of Longview reported it has reached 34 percent of its annual corn shipment projection in its first quarter. The port handled close to 1 million tons of soybeans which was 21 percent higher than 2017’s Q1. Corn shipments also saw a 22-percent spike compared to the same time last year.
