Quality harvest expected for potatoes, onions

Washington Ag Network reports that Northwest Farm Credit Services (NFCS) is predicting a break-even harvest for onion producers and a profitable yield for potato growers this year.  NFCS Vice President Karen Witt said that local onion farmers will be able to harvest at least one week earlier than normal, and they are expecting a lower price for yellow onions due to a low-quality crop originating from California.
