Army Corps of Engineers gives Seattle harbor project green light

American Shipper reports that the Army Corps of Engineers has signed off on a project to deepen the Seattle harbor by 57 feet. The authorization makes the project now eligible for congressional authorization. The harbor is used to access the container terminals at port of Seattle, and after the project’s competition it will become the deepest harbor in the nation.
